Once you arrive at the Port of Miami, we’ll greet you and provide you with the designated time and place for the Welcome Meeting. Be sure not to miss this event as you’ll be treated to a welcome drink and appetizers while you meet and mingle with your fellow Life Experience® cruisers! After getting acquainted and receiving your final itinerary you may enjoy the ship and all that it has to offer.
After a good night’s sleep you’ll be ready for a full day of free time to explore and experience all the Symphony of the Seas has to offer! And of course FREE food.
The first island day! Arrive at 9:30 am and spend the day experiencing the beautiful island. Roatán’s diverse blend of cultures and traditions is enough to charm anyone. But it’s mangrove forests, dense jungles, and swaths of the white-sand beach will make you want to stay forever. Divers and snorkelers from all over the globe flock to these islands every year to experience the world’s second largest barrier reef. Roatán cruises provide access to laid-back beach towns and secluded shores. On the Big Island, you can mingle with monkeys and “Jesus” lizards, snorkel with stingrays, and zipline through rainforest canopies. If it’s the culture you crave, the island’s unique and vibrant blend is more than satisfying— made up of ex-pat sun seekers, Hondurans from the mainland, descendants of European settlers, and Garífuna, whose Afro-Carib-Arawak heritage still flavors centuries-old communities like Punta Gorda.
Arrive in Costa Maya at 8:00 am and enjoy another day on land in a coastal paradise. Past meets present in Costa Maya. Find ancient Maya ruins and mysterious jungles just begging to be explored, as well as private beach clubs and trendy restaurants— all in one place. It’s a 250 square mile paradise packed with entertainment and history, all just 30 miles south of Cancun. The Great Maya Reef just off the coast is one of the largest in the world— it’s a must-snorkel spot. Or you can kick back at the port village of Mahahual with an ice-cold Michelada— a spicy beer cocktail— in hand. For a culture fix, head to the Kohunlick ruins to see the famous Temple of the Masks.
Next stop, Cozumel! Arriving at 7:00 am, you will have another full day of exploring this popular Mexican destination. With its lively tropical reefs, crystal-clear waters and ancient ruins, Cozumel is ripe for one-of-a-kind adventures. Head to Chankanaab National Park, where you can snorkel among the colorful reefs and schools of tropical fish that give this island its premier diving status. Or travel back in time on an adventure through the towering Maya ruins of Tulum. When you’re done exploring, unwind with a beachside massage at Playa Mia. From culture savoring to soaking up the sunshine, you’ll find a world of adventure waiting for you in Cozumel.
After 3 full days of exploring the Caribbean coast, unwind and recharge aboard Symphony of the Seas. Hit the spa or just relax poolside with a cold drink in hand. YOU deserve this time to recline and unwind! You can also attend an advanced business building training with Kevin Albright in the afternoon.
Now that you have taken a day to relax you are ready for a fun-filled day in the Bahamas at CocoCay. Arriving at 8:00 am, you will have plenty of time to soak in all that this island has to enjoy. Here there are one-of-a-kind ways to thrill and chill, all in the same day. Like conquering the tallest waterslide in North America, and snapping a shot from 400 feet up in a helium balloon. A drink at the swim-up bar in the Caribbeans’ largest freshwater pool. Or a taste of Bora Bora in the only private overwater cabanas in The Bahamas. This is your chance to spend the Perfect Day at CocoCay.
Like all good things, it must come to an end. Be sure to take some photos with all your new friends from around the world as you depart. We will be arriving in port at 6:00 AM. Be sure to plan on leaving the port at least 3 hours prior to your scheduled flight departure time. If you end up being there a little bit early you can stock up on some last minute souvenirs. Remember, even if you get a notice that your flight has been delayed, you’ll still need to be at the airport at the same time as per your original schedule, sometimes the airlines will suddenly find a replacement plane and you don’t want to be left behind.
But then again, maybe you do!
