Make sure you try a taste of the island with a rum cake, which is called ‘great cake’ for a reason.
There will also be a training meeting available to attend with MWR Life Leaders.
After a day exploring the city, enjoy a delicious breakfast, and spend the day relaxing on the Hilton Barbados Resort pristine white-sand beaches. You can go snorkeling or scuba diving in the crystal-clear waters or enjoy free access to all the kayaks and boogie boards needed to explore these breathtaking aquatic environments. You can take also take a break from the sand by going to one of the 2 resort pools where you can enjoy some ice-cold beverages that are sure to cool you off.
For your last full day in Barbados, you can take a break from the sun by journeying deep beneath the earth to enjoy the wonders of nature on a local Cave Tour. Once below, you will witness a fantastic array of crystal clear subterranean streams and spectacular waterfalls plunging into deep emerald pools. If you want to stay above the surface, you can experience ‘The Birthplace of Rum’ by visiting a local rum distillery and tasting some authentic Barbados rum, which is considered to be some of the best rum in the world.
Like all good things, it must come to an end. Be sure to take some photos with all your new friends from around the world as you depart. Plan on leaving the hotel 3 hours prior to the scheduled departure time of your flight. If you end up being there a little bit early you can stock up on some last-minute souvenirs.
Remember, even if you get a notice that your flight has been delayed, you’ll still need to be at the airport at the same time as per your original schedule, sometimes the airlines will suddenly find a replacement plane and you don’t want to be left behind. But then again, maybe you do!
